Dream, Design, Craft, Ship

It's the same four phases whether you're ordering one product or filling a container. Only the quantity and the packaging change. Production doesn't start until you've signed off on a physical sample, which takes up to two weeks and costs twice the bulk price, credited back when you order.

Dream

You tell us what you want to sell. We tell you whether it can be built and roughly what it costs.

Bring a drawing, a photo, a competitor's product, or a rough sketch. We come back with whether it can be made, what it would weigh, how it would pack, roughly what it costs, and which part of India would make it best. This is the phase where we say no if the numbers don't work for you, which is far cheaper for both of us than finding out after tooling.

Typical duration

Quotes come back with a 30-day validity.

You handle

  • ·The idea, reference images, or a drawing
  • ·Target landed cost and target quantity

We handle

  • ·Feasibility, materials and where to place it
  • ·Indicative pricing and packing approach

Design

We turn the idea into a drawing with dimensions and tolerances, then build one and ship it to you.

You get a dimensioned drawing to approve before anything is cut. Then we build a physical sample and courier it to you. You approve it or mark it up, and we revise. Nothing goes to production until a sample is signed off, because a sample is the only version of the spec that both of us can hold.

Typical duration

Up to 2 weeks for a sample, charged at 2× bulk and credited back on the bulk order.

You handle

  • ·Drawing approval
  • ·Written sign-off on the physical sample

We handle

  • ·Dimensioned drawing
  • ·Two samples: one to you, one held as the reference

Craft

Furniture is made in our Jodhpur factory and other products at the workshop we placed you with, always against the sample you approved.

Your approved sample sits on the floor as the reference for the run. We check the first article against it, check again while there's still time to correct, and inspect before anything is packed. You get the photographs. If we find a problem, you hear about it from us before anything ships.

Typical duration

50–60 days standard. Under 40 days is a rush order and adds 5%.

You handle

  • ·Purchase order and deposit
  • ·Answers when we ask a spec question mid-run

We handle

  • ·Production against the approved sample
  • ·Pre-pack inspection with photos to you

Ship

We pack, book, document, and hand it to your forwarder at Nhava Sheva.

Packing is designed for the route the goods are actually taking: FBA-ready cartons for Amazon, flat-pack where freight is the constraint, crated where it has to arrive ready to place. We prepare the commercial invoice, packing list and origin documents, and tell your broker which HTS heading we believe applies. You're quoted FOB, so the goods are yours once they're on the vessel.

Typical duration

45–60 days on the water. FCL nearer 45, LCL nearer 60.

You handle

  • ·Freight forwarder and customs broker
  • ·Balance payment per terms

We handle

  • ·Packing, container load plan, and booking support
  • ·Full export document set

Revisions and cost

The sample is the first time you can check the drawing against a real piece.

What you send
A drawing, a photo, a competitor's product, or a gallery piece with the changes you want. A dimension you care about is worth stating explicitly, because the tolerance we hold is the one on the drawing.
What you get back
A dimensioned drawing to approve, then two physical samples: one couriered to you on our own DHL or UPS account, one kept at the factory as the reference.
Sample cost
Twice the bulk price, with the difference credited back against your invoice when the bulk order is placed.
Sample lead time
Up to two weeks, and you hear about any design or finish change as it comes up.
After approval
Your approved sample stays on our floor as the reference for the production run and for every reorder after it.

What you arrange, unless you hand it to us

Ocean freight booking

We quote FOB Nhava Sheva by default, so you or your forwarder book the vessel. If you'd rather not, we'll manage it to your door for a flat $200 per container, $100 for LCL or $50 by air.

Customs clearance

Your broker clears it and files the entry. We supply every document they need and our read on the HTS heading, but the ruling is theirs.

US warehousing

We ship to your port or your prep center, not to a warehouse we run. Where it goes after the vessel is yours to arrange.

Terms, MOQs, container planning, and the document set are all on the terms and logistics page.

Start at phase one
